The Milwaukee Bucks allowed Malcolm Brogdon to make a name for himself after being drafted in the second round in 2016.

The Bucks have done a good job at times with developing some second-round picks, including Khris Middleton, Brogdon, and others they have or haven’t drafted.

Now, Brogdon could be a decent fit on this current Bucks roster.

Unfortunately, he made some comments about Milwaukee when he left, but if he can set those aside and is willing to help the Bucks win a championship, or at least try, it could make sense to pursue a reunion.

When searching for a backup point guard, the Milwaukee Journal recently named him the best fit, adding that he’s coming off a down year with the Washington Wizards, but he could figure things out in Milwaukee again.

“Let’s just focus on the unrestricted free agents, since the Bucks can sign a veteran to a minimum deal. The best option, to me, is reuniting with Malcolm Brogdon. He is coming off a bad year in Washington where leg and foot injuries (along with the Wizards’ desire to tank) basically made it a lost year. But he was shooting well over 40% from behind the three-point line in Boston and Portland from 2022-24 and I think as a reserve point guard, he would be an excellent fit and obviously is familiar with Antetokounmpo’s game. While the team has tried to move off leaning heavily onto “older” players, Brogdon would be the oldest player on the team at 32 (turning 33 in December) and he would have his usage managed by the presence of Kevin Porter Jr. and possibly Ryan Rollins,” the Milwaukee Journal wrote.

The Bucks later signed Ryan Rollins after this was released, but they still could use another point guard.

They plan to use Giannis Antetokounmpo at point guard at times, but it’s important that the Bucks have some veteran presence on their roster, as they’re very young now.
