The NFC North is perhaps the toughest division in the NFL this year, so every divisional game is crucial. On Sunday, two of those teams will meet when the Detroit Lions host the Minnesota Vikings.

The Lions are coming off a huge win over the Green Bay Packers last week for their first divisional win of the season. Last year, Detroit went just 2-4 in NFC North battles, a big reason why they missed the playoffs and finished in last place.

The Vikings, meanwhile, are the lone undefeated team left in the NFL and have the league’s best defense. Minnesota is already 2-0 in the division, with wins over the Packers and Chicago Bears, and hopes to make it 3-0 with their next game.

As these teams jockey for NFC North positioning all season, this game could play an important part in who ends up on top.
