Certain teams in the NFL have played very well to start the season but still aren’t getting the respect they deserve.

One of those teams is the Minnesota Vikings, who currently sit at 3-0 with wins over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Chicago Bears, and Green Bay Packers. Getting those three wins and starting the season off undefeated against opponents like that is a very promising sign.

However, others aren’t buying into the Vikings hype at all, going as far as to say that they’re one of the biggest frauds in the NFL.

“Even worse, they’ve played the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, none of which boast a particularly terrifying defense. I can give them a break for the Bears game, because the weather was poor. But we just watched the Atlanta Falcons destroy the Packers last Thursday, picking up more than 7 yards per play.

“The main takeaway is this: The Vikings might make the playoffs, but if this offense doesn’t figure something out and get to league average, they won’t be real Super Bowl contenders,” Austin Mock wrote.

It almost feels unfair to say that this Vikings team isn’t as good as its record indicates because of the opponents they’ve beaten.

When we also look at what the Vikings have been able to do on the defensive side of the football, this is a squad that is going to compete with anybody on any given Sunday.

That’s not to say that there aren’t some problems the Vikings have to fix, and the quarterback question with Kyler Murray and others is certainly up there, but the team has a ton of talent on both sides of the football, and, if they can get decent quarterback play, they should be more than fine.
