The Buffalo Bills haven’t done much in free agency.
The good news for the Bills is that the official start to the free agent period isn’t actually until Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET. Yes, lots of contracts have been agreed to elsewhere. But there are still a lot of available players for Buffalo to pursue.
NFL analyst Kevin Mansare actually shared 14 possible targets on the defensive side of the ball for the Bills to pursue, making a list in a new post on X on Wednesday:
- Bradley Chubb
- Arnold Ebiketie
- A’Shawn Robinson
- Jonathan Allen
- Dalvin Tomlinson
- DJ Reader
- Sebastian Joseph-Day
- Dre Greenlaw
- Bobby Okereke
- Jaquan Brisker
- Jaylinn Hawkins
- Kevin Byard
- Nick Cross
- Nick Scott

The names from Chubb through Joseph-Day are defensive linemen.
Greenlaw and Okereke are both linebackers.
The rest are safeties, highlighted by an all-time great, Byard.
There are some other notable names on that list, including the former Dolphins pass rusher Chubb.
Greenlaw and Okereke are both experienced linebackers with a lot of talent who could fill a major need for the Bills.
More than anything, this list should put Buffalo fans at a bit of ease. Sure, they’ve been quiet so far, but there are a lot of notable names still available to be signed.
Of course, the Bills have to actually sign some of them. But they have choices, even if it hasn’t been the most inspiring start to the legal tampering part of free agency.
