SAN FRANCISCO, California, March 10 — The Archbishop Riordan [San Francisco, CA] Crusaders and Salesian College Prep [Richmond, CA] Pride both cracked The Sporting News High School Boys Basketball Top 25 this week for the first time.
But one of them is guaranteed to lose in their debut game on that list.
That’s because the No. 20 Crusaders and the No. 21 Pride will meet Tuesday night to settle Northern California’s regional championship in California’s CIF Open Division, and the winner will advance to the state championship game against the other semifinal winner.
That game will be played concurrently between the No. 6 Sierra Canyon [Chatsworth, CA] Trailblazers and the No. 22 Harvard-Westlake [Studio City, CA] Wolverines.
Both games are available for streaming live on the NFHS Network with both games set for a 10 p.m. EST (7 p.m. PST local) tip.
