The San Francisco 49ers could use some replenishing at wide receiver.

They’ll get the chance to do that in free agency, with multiple WRs available who could help Brock Purdy and Kyle Shanahan improve this offense.

Last offseason, Deebo Samuel was traded away, and there’ll be no more Brandon Aiyuk in the Bay Area, either.

But ESPN’s Dan Graziano thinks the 49ers will find their solution in the former Green Bay Packer, Romeo Doubs.

Graziano wrote in a new article Friday that the 49ers can get a deal done with Doubs for a three-year contract worth a total of $49 million.

“Doubs is still 25 years old (turns 26 in April) and is viewed by teams as a receiver who can thrive in a number of different schemes,” Graziano writes. “He could be the guy this year that you look at and say, ‘Wow, he got that much?’ Doubs caught 55 passes for 724 yards and six touchdowns in 2025.”

Doubs is one of the top free agent wideouts, along with Colts WR Alec Pierce. Pierce is expected to get a larger payday than Doubs.

The intrigue around Doubs has a bit to do with just how high his ceiling is. He’s never really been called upon to be a true WR1 with the Packers.

He won’t necessarily have to be that with the 49ers, either, but he’s thought of as a player who might be able to elevate his game to fit into a larger offensive role.

There’ll be a lot of suitors, so this isn’t a given for San Francisco by any means. But it’ll be something worth watching, because they could definitely use a refreshed receivers room.
