It is the end of an era for the Las Vegas Raiders.

On Friday night, the Raiders pulled off a blockbuster trade with the Baltimore Ravens that saw Las Vegas net two first-round picks in exchange for star edge rusher Maxx Crosby.

While losing Crosby deals a big blow to the Raiders’ pass-rush for next season, the move also enhances the Raiders’ stable of draft picks in 2026 while opening up more cap space.

Here’s where the Raiders stand in both areas after the Crosby trade.

Raiders cap space after Maxx Crosby trade

The trade has not yet been made official, but Over The Cap is projecting Las Vegas will have a whopping $121.7 million in cap space entering free agency, which is unsurprisingly the most in the NFL, and by a wide margin.

The extra cap space comes from the Raiders removing Crosby’s $30 million base salary off the books for 2026.

Raiders 2026 NFL draft picks

Of course, the Raiders now have two first-round picks for this year’s draft, with the selection acquired from the Ravens falling at No. 14 overall. That gives general manager John Spytek a projected 11 picks now, per Tankathon:

  • Round 1, Pick 1
  • Round 1, Pick 14
  • Round 2
  • Round 3
  • Round 4
  • Round 4 (from JAX, via MIN)
  • Round 4 (projected comp pick)
  • Round 5 (projected comp pick)
  • Round 6 (from JAX, via NYJ)
  • Round 6
  • Round 7

The extra fourth- and sixth-round selections both came from the Jakobi Meyers trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but those picks initially belonged to the Minnesota Vikings and New York Jets.

The free-agent departures of Tre’Von Moehrig and Robert Spillane put the Raiders over the top for the two projected compensatory picks based on the formula.

Parting with Crosby might have just officially made the Raiders’ roster the worst in the NFL, but there’s a clear path to turn things around quickly with all that cap space and the slew of draft selections Las Vegas has.
