Salma Hayek Pinault conquered Hollywood with roles in blockbuster hits such as Traffic and Frida. And this year she conquered the legendary Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, too — she’s the reigning cover star.
And the iconic magazine took to social media to remind us why, showing off a scorching picture of the actress in an orange bikini, body chain and cover-up tossed behind her for a dramatic frame.
“Want to know the underrated accessory these six striking styles share in common?” SI Swim captioned the photo in a Thursday, March 5 share to X (formerly Twitter).
The accompanying article — and swimsuit cover-ups — also features Megan Fox, Yumi Nu, Hunter McGrady, Martha Stewart and Lauren Chan — who’s also a current cover star.
“If you’re looking to take your beach-day look to the next level or turn heads at any pool party, we always suggest adding a chic cover-up to your closet for the spring and summer months!” reads the story in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit. “Countless SI Swimsuit models have brought the garment across the globe for their shoots in the fold over the years, and today we’re taking a look back at seven coastal ensembles featuring the swimwear staple.”

Hayek Pinault’s “fiery” version was designed by Raquelle Pedezra — a set, including both the gold hardware-adorned bikini and the braided cover-up — and accented by a gold body chain by Jacquie Aiche.
