The Atlanta Falcons could be willing to trade one of their top playmakers this offseason.

CBS Sports’ Jonathan Jones believes teams could reach out to Atlanta regarding the availability of tight end Kyle Pitts, who is on a $15 million franchise tag.

“While the Falcons would never trade standout running back Bijan Robinson, and while an extension for wideout Drake London is sure to materialize in the coming months, teams could inquire on franchise-tagged tight end Kyle Pitts. His $15 million tag is a reasonable number off which to work a deal,” Jones said.

Pitts is coming off one of the better years of his career, tallying 88 receptions for 928 yards and five touchdowns and playing all 17 games for the third straight season.

If the Falcons do entertain trade offers for Pitts, the New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, and New England Patriots should have interest.

New York could be looking for an upgrade over Theo Johnson at tight end, and Pitts would definitely be one. Pitts would be a dynamic playmaker for young quarterback Jaxson Dart and take the Giants’ offense to new heights.

Philadelphia could lose Dallas Goedert in free agency, and if general manager Howie Roseman wants to make a splash move to replace him, trading for Pitts would fit that description.

New England would be a wild-card team for Pitts. Hunter Henry is a solid starter, but Pitts would be an electric fit in Josh McDaniels’ offense and could be the missing piece for quarterback Drake Maye.

It still feels likely that Pitts will be in Atlanta in 2026, but if he does get traded, the Giants, Eagles, and Patriots are possible trade suitors.
