The clips first started going viral during winter ball. There was this left-handed pitcher jumping all over the place after striking out batters.

Turns out that lefty is part of the New York Mets‘ organization. His name is Jefry Yan, and he’s awesome.

He didn’t keep those celebrations limited to winter ball, either.

That obviously isn’t something from a bygone era. That’s very modern baseball, to its fullest extent.

Yan is having fun, and while the batters he’s striking out might not like it, they ought to not strike out the next time.

The 29-year old southpaw isn’t a prospect by any means, although he also hasn’t reached the major leagues.

He had a 7.28 ERA with Triple-A Albuquerque last season, and had struggled in his one prior Triple-A stint, too.

For Yan to make it to the majors, he’s gonna have to do more than celebrate well.

But if he makes it? There will be some viral clips, for sure.
