Chase Pistone, a former racer who turned out in rides across the second and third divisions of NASCAR, has died. He was 42 years old.
His brother, Nick, posted news of his brother’s passing on Monday.
“I’m broken hearted and don’t know if I’ll ever get over this,” Nick posted online. “I miss you Chase already and I hope you are you are in a better place.”

Pistone’s cause of death wasn’t immediately made public. His brothers, Tom and Nick, requested that Legends Nation share the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

On Monday, Cup Series star Bubba Wallace shared that “a guy [he] raced with in legends car took his life” in a post on X.

The grandson of two-time Cup Series race-winner “Tiger” Tom Pistone, Chase Pistone had racing in his blood. He got his start in the cockpit at age six, in youth competitions across the southern United States.
He made his Truck Series debut in 2005 and his Nationwide Series debut in 2006. All told, he made 10 starts in NASCAR’s second and third divisions, posting a career-best finish of ninth-best showing at Martinsville in 2014.
