Myatt Snider is in the race car.
It’s a crazy turn of events at the Circuit of the Americas on Sunday due to an Alex Bowman illness.
Jamie Little delivered the news for the Fox broadcast with 20 laps to go.
Bowman was pulling out of the race. Snider was putting on his equipment and getting into the car.
Snider is the first mid-race replacement in the Cup Series since 2020.

Why is Myatt Snider in for Alex Bowman?
Bowman was sick all race, Little said, and his team finally decided to pull him from the car.
The most experienced driver available was Snider.
Bowman’s team wanted to get a few points out of this race, and this replacement driver protocol allows that to happen.

Who is Myatt Snider?
Snider was working during Sunday’s race as the pit spotter for Little as part of the Fox broadcast team.
But there he was, on camera, getting into the gear and getting into Bowman’s car.
Snider does drive in the O’Reilly’s Series, the second-tier NASCAR circuit that raced on Saturday.
And now, he’s out there in the Cup Series in a wild turn of events.
