Bronny James is still in the G League.
Originally, his assignment appeared to point to a couple of games over the weekend. But it’s Wednesday now, and LeBron’s son remains with the South Bay Lakers.
The good news, though, is that he’s making the most of his time down on assignment.
On Wednesday, South Bay played an early afternoon game against the Valley Suns, and Bronny had a great performance.
In a 113-99 win, Bronny finished with:
- 21 points
- 3 rebounds
- 2 assists
- 4 steals
- 3 turnovers
- 9-14 FG
- 2-6 3FG
- 1-1 FT
Bronny was named the South Bay X-Factor of the game by the team’s social media, too.

This remains a case of the NBA-level Lakers being rather healthy, meaning that the only place Bronny is going to see the floor at all is in the G League.
Bronny doesn’t see much playing time even when he’s up in the NBA, but he’s just solid enough defensively and athletically to prove useful if given the chance.
Down in the G League, he continues to get to work on his offensive game, and he also showed Wednesday his potential as a defensive disruptor with four steals.
At this point, Bronny is doing the best he can to get the call back up.
