The Denver BRoncos have some needs on the offensive side of the ball this offseason. While tight end and running back are clear needs, there’s another position group that could use some help.

The Denver wide receiver room, while it has some solid weapons, could use a true number-one option. Courtland Sutton is good, as is Pat Bryant, Troy Franklin, and Marvin Mims. But if the Broncos could add a true alpha, they could be in a great spot.

Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports reported some great news for the Broncos in the trade market: they are, as one AFC executive outlined, the perfect fit for a trade for Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro wide receiver and true No. 1, AJ Brown.

Broncos get good AJ Brown trade news from exec

“One executive believed Brown was worth a ‘late first-round pick’ from an AFC team that Philadelphia wouldn’t face in the postseason unless it advances to the Super Bowl,” Robinson writes.

Why is that good news for the Broncos? Well, they’re one of four teams that would fit that description, of an AFC team with a late first-round pick in this year’s draft class.

Picking 30th overall, the Broncos are in a great spot to make a move for Brown this offseason if they’re willing to part with their first-round pick.

The Buffalo Bills (26th overall), Houston Texans (28th), and the New England Patriots (31st) are the other top landing spots for Brown this offseason based on this executive’s belief of the best fit.

Brown is 29 years old and in the middle of a $96 million deal through the 2030 season, with some massive cap hits down the road. A trade might not be likely, but if the Broncos want to acquire him, they are a great fit for the three-time second-team All-Pro.

In his seven-year NFL career, Brown has 8,029 receiving yards, 56 touchdowns, and 524 receptions to go with three Pro Bowls and 623 receiving yards and five touchdowns in the playoffs.

Brown would be a great weapon for Bo Nix, and while it might not be cheap, sending a late first-rounder might be what it takes to bring Brown to Denver this offseason.

The Broncos are a great fit, and this update from an NFL executive is some good news for the Broncos’ odds to actually be a fit for the superstar wide receiver.
