As the NBA season kicks into high gear, the fight for spots in the standings is getting serious.
In the eastern conference specifically. two games separate two teams from second seed to the fourth seed, which will have a big impact on the playoff schedule. Two of those teams are the Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks, who are currently ranked No. 4 and No. 3 in the east, respectively.
The Cavaliers have gotten hot, winning 14 of their last 17 games while acquiring James Harden in the process. Cleveland jumped all the way up into the top four, and has its eyes even higher.
Meanwhile, the Knicks have been more uneven than expected this year, but remain in good position to make a playoff run. New York has already won two games against the Cavaliers this year, and are looking for a clean regular season sweep.
