The Denver Broncos will be a fascinating watch this offseason as Sean Payton figures out how to move the franchise forward and win a Super Bowl.
We saw the limitations last year, especially on offense, so it makes sense the franchise starts there this offseason.
With Bo Nix needing a star receiver alongside Courtland Sutton, and a dependable running back alongside J.K. Dobbins (if he returns), it is here where a huge prediction has landed.
Sports Illustrated’s Conor Orr, in his big prediction piece, has the Broncos trading for both running back David Montgomery and receiver A.J. Brown.
“Continuing last season’s aggressive free-agency push to bolster the defense, Payton, spurred by his near miss at reaching Super Bowl LX, will spend multiple picks between the second and fourth rounds to bring in veterans who can keep Denver in the hunt,” Orr wrote.

Yes, it would deplete Denver’s draft capital, but it would be worth it.
We know what Brown can do, and having him alongside Sutton gives Nix two genuine downfield weapons, forcing defenses to choose who to take away.
As for Montgomery, his bruising running style could easily see him become the starter in Denver, giving Nix a strong run game along with Dobbins and R.J. Harvey.
If Denver were to pull off both of these moves, you could easily make the case for them being one of the better teams in the AFC.
