HILL DICKINSON STADIUM, LIVERPOOL — Manchester United can open up a three-point gap in fourth place with victory over Everton on Monday night.

Michael Carrick lost his 100% record as Red Devils boss last time out, when Benjamin Sesko’s dramatic injury-time equaliser salvaged a draw at West Ham.

United are fifth on 45 points, level with Chelsea above them and Liverpool below them.

Everton won the reverse fixture 1-0 at Old Trafford despite having Idrissa Gueye sent off for an on-field confrontation with team-mate Michael Keane.

Both men start tonight, with Everton right-back Jake O’Brien serving a a suspension following his red card against Bournemouth.

Leny Yoro comes into the United defence in place of Lisandro Martinez, who is sidelined by a minor calf injury.
