Los Angeles Dodgers star Freddie Freeman and his wife, Chelseas Freeman, just announced they’re expecting their fourth child via a surrogate.

The couple announced the news in a joint Instagram post on Sunday, Feb. 22, alongside a photo of their growing family.

“Worth the wait 🤍 Baby #4 is on the way and our hearts are already so full,” Chelsea captioned the post.

She then revealed that another woman is helping bring their baby into the world, writing, “We are incredibly grateful for the amazing woman helping bring our baby into our lives, and we’re choosing to honor her privacy as we walk this chapter.”

The MLB WAG included a photo standing shoulder to shoulder alongside Freddie and her three boys, with the couple’s eldest proudly holding up a tiny sonogram printout.

Freddie Freeman’s son Max has been dealing with major health issues

Freddie and Chelsea married in 2014 and welcomed their first child in 2016. Today, they’re proud parents to three sons: Fredrick Charles II, Brandon John and Maximus Turner.

The first baseman and three-time World Series champion’s five-year-old son, Max, has been dealing with health issues stemming from Guillain-Barre Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that left him with paralysis in 2024.

Chelsea has regularly kept Dodgers fans updated on her son’s condition, even as she and the Dodgers star navigated life in the pediatric ICU.

Freddie later put the scary ordeal into perspective, telling ESPN in 2024, “I would gladly strike out with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth inning in Game 7 of the World Series 300 million times in a row than see that again. But he’s on his way. He’s on his way. It’s going to be a long road.”

“We’re one of the lucky ones that got Guillain-Barré that he might have a full recovery. There are kids out there who are fighting for their lives right now. It just puts everything in perspective,” he added.
