While we don’t know where he’s going to end up this offseason, what we do know is Denver Broncos defensive lineman John Franklin-Myers is going to draw plenty of interest if he hits the open market.
JFM is a pending free agent after two very productive years with the Broncos that saw him tally 14.5 sacks. That production, along with his versatility, means the veteran is going to do well in free agency.
Franklin-Myers turned some heads over the weekend when he strongly hinted he may have interest in joining the Tennessee Titans in free agency.
His apparent interest stems from the Titans’ hiring of his former teammate, Tanzel Smart, as their assistant defensive line coach.
“You thinking what I’m thinking,” Franklin-Myers said in the comments of Smart’s post on Instagram announcing his new job (H/T Justin Melo of NFL Draft on SI).

Not only is Franklin-Myers familiar with Smart, but his former Jets head coach, Robert Saleh, is also in Tennessee.
The Titans could be a real threat to the Broncos and other Franklin-Myers suitors, and not just because Smart and Saleh are in Nashville.
Tennessee has the most cap space in the NFL with $103.5 million, per Over The Cap, so they can outbid anyone in free agency.
The Titans also have a need upfront and putting JFM on the same line as T’Vondre Sweat and Jeffery Simmons would give Tennessee one of the more fearsome defensive lines in the NFL.
If Franklin-Myers values winning a Super Bowl more than anything else, Denver gives him a far better opportunity to do that. However, if Franklin-Myers is more concerned with cashing in, that’s where Tennessee will have the advantage.
