There has been a lot of change for the San Francisco Giants over the past year. They acquired Rafael Devers ahead of the trade deadline last season and will be coming into the new season with a new manager, Tony Vitello.

On top of that, you also cannot forget about the offseason additions. They signed Harrison Bader, Luis Arraez, Tyler Mahle, Adrian Houser, Sam Hentges, and Jason Foley.

The front office filled holes as needed, and after a few years nearing .500, the fanbase is ready for this club to be a postseason contender once again.

The Giants’ success hinges on an offense finally outperforming its projections

Fans are starting to get excited, and for good reason. Things are seemingly coming together for this club.

The addition of Harrison Bader makes SF’s outfield much stronger, and he and Luis Arraez should be key contributors in the lineup.

With the added offense and the hype surrounding Bryce Eldridge, MLB.com’s Jared Greenspan believes the offense could carry this team.

“Seven different players are projected to be at least a league-average hitter, including highly touted prospect Bryce Edlridge and bat-to-ball darling Luis Arraez, one of the most intriguing offseason additions in all of baseball. If Willy Adames looks like the player he did in the second half of last season — when he posted an .828 OPS — and Rafael Devers returns to true All-Star form, then this group won’t have any trouble generating more offense.”

The Giants haven’t been a top 15 team in terms of runs scored since 2022, but that could all change this season.

Bryce Eldridge will be one to watch early. While he got a cup of coffee last season, he did not show much, but with a full season to prepare for, he could be the straw that stirs this team’s drink.

The Giants have all the makings to be a postseason contender; they just need to put it all together this season.
