As the 2026 Olympics continue in Milan, all eyes are on American figure skater Ilia Malinin.

The Virginia native, known by some as “Quad God,” is participating in team and individual events at the Winter Olympics as he looks to fulfill high expectations and make his home country proud. 

While 2026 marks Malinin’s Olympic debut, he is the owner of four consecutive U.S. national championships and has become one of the world’s most popular figure skaters, drawing an audience that goes well beyond figure skating diehards. 

Here’s an updated look at Malinin’s results and medal count at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan.

Ilia Malinin Olympics results 2026

Malinin is participating in two events at the Winter Olympics but skating four times. Here are his results:

Malinin finished second in Men’s Short Program for team competition despite being favored, but he finished first in Men’s Free Skate and contributed to a gold medal win for the United States.

Malinin will participate in the individual portion of the figure skating competition when he takes the ice in Men’s Short Program on Feb. 10 and Men’s Free Skate on Feb. 13.

Malinin won his first Olympic medal when the United States won the team competition in Milan.

Despite an imperfect start to his Olympics in the Men’s Short Program, Malinin helped propel the United States to gold in the figure skating team competition. He finished second in Men’s Short Program but won Men’s Free Skate and came away with his first Olympic gold. 

Malinin will aim for another gold in the individual portion of the competition as he competes in Men’s Short Program and Men’s Free Skate.
