Snowboarding star Kim has won the halfpipe at the last two Olympics and will look for the trifecta Thursday. Her dazzling first run in qualifying on Wednesday topped the field and she will be a heavy favorite in the final, with USA teammate Maddie Mastro also a medal hopeful.
On the slopes, Johnson will try to follow her downhill gold medal with a win in the super-G — a feat achieved on the men’s side this week by Switzerland’s Franjo von Allmen. The men’s moguls are also on tap, with Americans Nick Page, Dylan Walczyk, Charlie Mickel and Landon Wendler looking to draw inspiration from the U.S. women’s team, which took gold and silver in moguls Wednesday.
