We see players have explosive starts to NBA games, but Victor Wembanyama does truly unprecedented things every game for the Spurs.

His latest unbelievable feat came in the first quarter against the Lakers on Monday night, as he’s somehow on pace to match an unbeatable Wilt Chamberlain record that every NBA fan has heard of.

Victor Wembanyama just put Wilt Chamberlain’s 100-point game on notice with monster 1st quarter

In just 7:59 minutes of game time, Wemby was able to record 25 points to start the game.

This happened in the first quarter, which means he is on pace for exactly 100 points, which was famously done by Wilt Chamberlain decades ago.

A 25-point quarter seems like it has to be close to record territory, but Klay Thompson had a 37-point quarter a few years back.

Will he come close to Wilt’s mark? Probably not, but you never know with Wemby.

He shot 8/9 from the field and 6/8 from the free-throw line to reach 25 points.

Even if he falls short of the 100-point standard, he has three quarters to add to a points total that has already exceeded his average for this season.
