With the New England Patriots back in the Super Bowl, most former Patriots are rooting for the team to win another ring. That is, except for Tom Brady.
The best player in Patriots history announced that he isn’t taking sides in Super Bowl 60 between the Patriots and Seattle Seahawks, instead just rooting for a good game.
“I don’t have a dog in the fight in this one,” Brady said on his Let’s Go! podcast. “May the best team win. And in terms of the Patriots, this is a new chapter in New England, and I’m glad everyone’s embraced the Mike Vrabel regime, all the amazing players that have worked so hard to get their club to this position.”
That diplomatic opinion didn’t sit well with some of Brady’s former teammates, who want the former quarterback to root for New England.

Asante Samuel, Vince Wilfork call out Tom Brady
When Tom Brady announced he wasn’t rooting for the Patriots against the Seahawks, it shocked many people. After all, Brady won six Super Bowls with New England, the only championships the franchise has ever won.
Among the players who were disappointed in Brady was apparently former Patriots cornerback Asante Samuel. The former cornerback was a Patriot for five seasons, winning two Super Bowls, and believes that Brady should be rooting for his former team and former teammate, now-Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel.
Tom Brady I am highly I mean highly disappointed in you not rooting for your ex teammate, Mike Vrabel who is about to do something special.
I’m going to fye your ass up one of these mornings. Tag Brady let him know I’m on his ass

Samuel went on a small tirade on social media against Brady, saying the future Hall of Fame QB needs to root for the Patriots and threatening to expose him.
Brady you can’t be the only one winning super bowls. Let me find out you hating on Drake Maye and Vrabel. “I don’t have a dog in this fight”
Not what I wanted to hear. Brady knows how I get down. This ain’t nothing new to him

Samuel was on the Patriots for Super Bowls 38 and 39, winning his only two Super Bowls with the organization.
Another former teammate to call out Brady was Vince Wilfork, who had a longer stint with the Pats than Samuel. Wilfork spent 11 years in New England, winning Super Bowls 39 and 49 with the team.
“That’s bullcrap Tom,” Vilfork said. “If you’re a Patriot for life, you know what it is. Don’t give me that poltical bullcrap.”

As the Patriots look to win their first Super Bowl without Brady, it’s clear alumni and fans are upset over their former quarterback’s decision.
