Hearing the idea that a roster could be better than an entire conference’s all-star team seems ridiculous, but when you look into the players on both teams, it might not be a crazy take.

When it comes to depth, the East All-Stars have more talented players from the top of their roster to the bottom, as most would expect.
In the hypothetical situation that the two rosters faced off, the Celtics would play a rotation of 8-9 players anyway, so that wouldn’t be a major factor.
The Celtics title team was definitely a strong team on the defensive end, which would be beneficial against a lineup full of great scorers.
It wouldn’t be easy for the Celtics, but I don’t think it’s out of the realm that their title team could put up a quality fight in this match, or in a seven-game series.
