Most of the teams ranked in the latest edition of The Sporting News High School Boys Basketball Top 25 played at least one game this week, and No. 1 SPIRE Academy continued to set the pace.

The Ohioans picked up three more wins at the Metro Classic in New Jersey, and they remain undefeated at 13-0. No. 18 St. John Bosco was the highest-ranked team to lose in a 72-68 upset to Orange Lutheran while No. 21 St. John’s lost twice in what will end up being their only week in the Top 25.

Several states wrapped up regular season play this week, and the postseason will get under way in a couple of states by next weekend. Florida’s first playoff games will take place Tuesday, February 3, and by Alabama will join the party next weekend.
