Austin Reaves is getting love off the court this week, and it’s coming from some of the biggest names in basketball.

The Los Angeles Lakers guard shared a new fashion collaboration with YoungLA on January 29, marking the latest limited-edition drop from the rapidly growing fitness and lifestyle brand. The post didn’t sit quietly for long. Luka Doncic reacted with a money bag emoji, while LeBron James chimed in with a string of fire emojis, signaling strong approval from two of the NBA’s most recognizable stars.

The responses quickly drew attention to the release, adding extra visibility to a brand that has built its reputation on hype-driven drops and social media momentum. YoungLA, founded in 2014 by brothers Gurmer and Dashmeet Chopra, has become a staple in gyms across Southern California and beyond by blending workout-ready gear with streetwear aesthetics. Its joggers, hoodies, and shorts are designed to move easily between training sessions and everyday wear, a formula that has helped the company grow into a major player in the fitness apparel space.

For Austin Reaves, the collaboration is another sign of his expanding profile beyond basketball. The 27-year-old guard, who went undrafted before signing with the Lakers in 2021, has steadily carved out a reputation as a reliable on-court contributor while also building a recognizable personal brand. Known by fans as AR-15, Reaves has gone from a role player to a key piece of the Lakers’ rotation, earning a four-year contract extension in 2023 and delivering multiple standout performances since.

That rise has naturally extended to endorsement opportunities. Aligning with YoungLA places Reaves alongside a brand that relies heavily on influencer partnerships and limited releases to drive demand. The company’s drops often sell quickly, fueled by its large social media following and endorsements from athletes and fitness creators.
