The Buffalo Bills are heading into a new era with Joe Brady as the head coach.
They likely will have a lot of cohesiveness, though, with plenty of players under contract for a while.
That includes Dalton Kincaid, who just completed the third season of his rookie deal after being a first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
This is the part in Kincaid’s timeline where the Bills have to decide on his fifth-year option, which in this case will apply to the 2027 season.

According to Spotrac, the Bills “appear poised to pick up” the option, which they project at $8.73 million for the 2027 season.
That certainly makes sense for Buffalo, which wouldn’t gain much by getting rid of Kincaid after 2026 without first letting him play that option season for the Bills, too.
Kincaid had his best season as a rookie in 2023, when he caught 73 passes for 673 yards.
That declined to 44 grabs for 448 yards in 2024.

In 2025, he had even fewer catches, 39, but put up 571 yards (career-high 14.6 ypc) and had five touchdowns, which was more than the four he had in his first two seasons combined.
Kincaid isn’t much of a blocker, so he has a somewhat one-dimensional role in the Bills’ offense, but he’s still a playmaker for the playcaller Brady and superstar QB Josh Allen.
Buffalo can rely on Kincaid for at least the next two seasons, it appears, before having to make any bigger decisions about his future.
