The Metro Classic 2026 tips off Thursday at Stockton University in Galloway, New Jersey, with a lineup that features the No. 1 team in the latest edition of The Sporting News Boys Basketball Top 25.
The top-ranked SPIRE Academy National squad of Geneva, Ohio, will be on hand for all three days at the event with games scheduled against three highly-regarded programs from the home state.
SPIRE Academy’s International team will also participate in all three days of the event against teams from New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
St. Thomas More of Connecticut is also ranked in SN’s Top 50, but the event will mostly be a showcase for teams from New Jersey with six of the state’s Top 10 programs from the latest edition of the MaxPreps rankings in attendance. That includes No. 3 Gill St. Bernard’s, No. 4 College Achieve, and No. 5 Bergen Catholic – the three schools scheduled to take on SPIRE Academy’s National squad.
Additionally, No. 6 Christian Brothers Academy, No. 7 Blair Academy, and No. 10 Patrick School will participate in the Garden State showcase.
