Many of the teams ranked in the latest edition of The Sporting News High School Basketball Top 25 will be back in action this week.

That includes No. 1 SPIRE Academy [Geneva, OH] which heads to New Jersey to participate in the Metro Classic this coming weekend.

That event is one of several big classics and tournaments taking place across the country this week, including the Montverde Academy Invitational Tournament in Florida. The Mid-Atlantic region, however, is the epicenter of boys basketball action this weekend with three tournaments taking place in Maryland and Virginia along with the event in New Jersey.

The Nike EYBL Western Maryland Classic will get the party started on Thursday running through Saturday in McHenry, Maryland. A Very Melo Classic hosted by Carmelo Anthony is then slated to tip off on Saturday at Morgan State University in Baltimore.

Saturday is also the date for the Coaches for the Cure Classic in Glen Allen, Virginia. With many states quickly approaching the postseason, this is one of the last big weekends for regular-season tournament action in the 2025-26 season.
