The Baltimore Ravens have a host of needs that have to be addressed this offseason, and new head coach Jesse Minter must know where to start.
It is easy to suggest the defense, given Minter’s background, but this Ravens team will go as far as Lamar Jackson allows them to.
Meaning the offensive side of the ball could take precedence.
Jackson has the weapons, but he doesn’t have the best protection, being sacked 36 times in 13 games, just three shy of a career high.
And for NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah, he has the Ravens going after Penn State guard Olaivavega Ioane in his latest mock draft.
“The Ravens need to upgrade at guard, and center Tyler Linderbaum is due to reach free agency in March,” Jeremiah wrote. “Ioane has a strong case to be considered the best offensive lineman in this year’s draft.”

Keeping Jackson healthy No. 1 key in 2026
In 2025, it felt like every other week Lamar was dealing with something.
We even ask if he was healthy at any point during the season. We know he was, but the missed practices and games last season were a problem, and Jackson has only played one full season in his eight-year career.
So, fortifying the offensive line seems the way to go here.
Whether that’s in free agency to get some high-quality protectors or in the first round of the draft, Jackson’s offensive line needs to be better.
Do that, and maybe we might see MVP Lamar return in 2026.
