The NFC West was football’s finest division in 2025, with three sides — the Seahawks, Rams and 49ers — recording at least 12 wins on the year. It’s only right that the side who will escape the clutches of the NFC playoff bracket will emerge from the West’s gleaming shores.

Seattle and Los Angeles’ third matchup of the year figures to entice the masses of football fans. The prior two accords proved captivating contests, with the first resulting in a hard-fought Rams victory. The second duel was even more memorable. The Seahawks stormed back from 16 down to best their hated rivals in overtime in Week 16.

Their recent history should set up for a riveting finale at Lumen Field in the NFC Championship game. For Seattle and taskmaster Mike Macdonald, the game plan is clear: to shut down Los Angeles’ attack, spearheaded by MVP favorite Matthew Stafford.

As for the Rams, they’ll look for a steadier showing than they put forth in the final stages of regulation against the Bears. Their defense is capable of holding blistering offenses ghost-quiet, although Los Angeles lacks the consistency of the Seahawks’ gifted rearguard.

Nevertheless, Sunday’s outing should prove a memorable one for hardcore and casual fans alike. The Sporting News is tracking live updates from the NFC Championship between the Seahawks and Rams. Follow below for highlights, live results and more as the NFC’s two best sides wage war at Lumen Field.

FIELD GOAL — Seahawks 10, Rams 6

7:21 p.m. — Williams begins LA’s next drive with a four-yard gain. He then picked up 11 yards to bring up the end to the first quarter. The Rams got creative after the break, and Nacua picked up four yards on an end-around. Stafford then found Davante Adams for a 23-yard gain.

After a Williams run for no gain, and a Stafford incompletion, the Rams faced third and long. Stafford was sacked and fumbled the ball, but it was recovered for a loss of 10 yards.

On fourth and 19, Mevis connected on the 50-yard field goal.

FIELD GOAL — Seahawks 10, Rams 3

7:10 p.m. — Walker picked up five yards on first down and a few plays later picked up eight yards on consecutive plays. The running back can do it all as Darnold then found him for a gain of 14 yards to get down to the 24-yard line in Rams territory.

Darnold later hit Smith-Njigba for eight yards to bring up third and short. JSN’s number was called again, this time for a gain of nine to get down to the seven-yard line. It was an impressive one-handed grab.

Walker picked up four, but the first penalty of the game was a hold on the offense to move the Seahawks back. Darnold checked down to Walker who got the 10 yards from the penalty back. On third and nine, Darnold had an incompletion. Kicker Jason Myers hit the 27-yard field goal.

FIELD GOAL  — Seahawks 7, Rams 3

6:59 p.m. — Backup running back Blake Corum begins LA’s second drive with a three-yard gain. Then it was Stafford’s turn for a deep shot as he hit Nacua for 44 yards.

After the big gain, unfortunately, Stafford had three consecutive incompletions. The Rams still came away with points as Harrison Mevis connected on a 44-yard field goal.

TOUCHDOWN — Seahawks 7, Rams 0

6:51 p.m. — Seattle began its first drive with a five-yard rush by running back Kenneth Walker III. Quarterback Sam Darnold then missed Smith-Njigba, setting up third and five. Darnold avoided the three-and-out by hitting deep threat Rashid Shaheed for a 51-yard gain.

Njigba followed that up with a 16-yard gain to get within the 10-yard line. Walker picked up seven yards on his next two carries and then on third and goal from the two, punched in the first score of the game.

6:45 p.m. — Kyren Williams began the game with a four-yard carry. Quarterback Matthew Stafford then hit Puka Nacua for a three-yard gain. Stafford then missed Nacua on third-down and it was a quick three-and-out for Los Angeles.
