While the Denver Broncos got bad news on quarterback Bo Nix this past week, they did get some good news on running back J.K. Dobbins.
Dobbins hasn’t suited up since Week 10, when he suffered a foot injury that required surgery and was expected to keep him out for the rest of the season.
However, the Broncos at least opened the door for Dobbins to play again in the playoffs after designating him to return from injured reserve this past week.
Here’s the latest on Dobbins’ status for the AFC Championship Game against the New England Patriots and beyond.
Is J.K. Dobbins playing today?
No, Dobbins won’t be suiting up for the Broncos against the Patriots on Sunday, as he was ruled out during the week.
While that stinks, the Broncos will at least have a chance to get him back for the Super Bowl if they advance.
Increasing the chances of that happening is the fact that there’s a bye next week, which would give Dobbins an extra week to get right.
With Dobbins sidelined, the Broncos have relied mostly on rookie RJ Harvey, and we would expect that to once again be the case this week.
