The Atlanta Hawks get an opportunity Tuesday night to play on a national broadcast.
Just one problem: Trae Young will be hanging out on the sideline.
When the Hawks take on the Magic, the star point guard won’t be out there.
Orlando is at full strength, led by its big three of Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner and Desmond Bane.
The Hawks have everyone else available, but not Trae.
Why isn’t Trae Young playing tonight?
Trae Young isn’t playing tonight because of an injury he sustained on Wednesday, Oct. 29 against the Brooklyn Nets.
An MRI revealed he has a sprained MCL in his right knee, the Hawks announced.
Atlanta had already shared that Young’s ACL is entirely intact.
When is Trae Young coming back?
Young is set to be re-evaluated in four weeks, which takes the calendar about to the end of November.
He has already begun rehab, the Hawks announced.
Young was averaging 20.8 points through the first four games of the season, then was knocked out after six quick points against the Nets in game five.
