The Seattle Seahawks will hit the road and take on the Washington Commanders for Week 9’s “Sunday Night Football” game. Kickoff from Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland is set for 8:20 p.m. ET.
The Seahawks enter the game with a 5-2 record and are tied with the Los Angeles Rams atop the NFC West standings. Seattle has won two games in a row and five of their last six. The Seahawks are coming off a 27-19 win over the Houston Texans. Wide receiver Jaxson Smith-Njigba has tallied at least 123 receiving yards in three straight games and has eclipsed the 100-yard mark in five of the eight games he has played this season.
The big story for Washington in this game is that second-year quarterback Jayden Daniels is expected back under center. He missed the team’s 28-7 loss in Week 8 to the Kansas City Chiefs with a hamstring injury. The Commanders head into Week 9 with a 3-5 record and in third place in the NFC East. Washington has dropped three games in a row and four of its last five, so it really needs Daniels to provide a spark with his return.
