New York Knicks guard Deuce McBride has missed the team’s last two games due to personal reasons.
Fortunately, the New York Post’s Stefan Bondy is reporting that McBride has returned to the team and is on track to play in Friday night’s Knicks game against the Chicago Bulls.
“Deuce McBride has rejoined the Knicks in Chicago, a league source tells The Post. It’s a good indication he’ll play tomorrow against Bulls. McBride missed the last two games for personal reasons,” wrote Bondy on X.

The two games McBride missed are the two games New York has lost so far amid their 2-2 start to the 2025-26 NBA season.
It’s a good thing he’s back.
So far this year, the 25-year-old guard has been a key piece in the rotation, even getting the starting nod in the Knicks’ second game against the Boston Celtics.
He’s averaging 12.5 points per game along with three rebounds and 2.5 assists, and is shooting 40% from three-point range.
McBride’s abilities as a shooter create spacing issues for opposing teams’ defenses, and his absence in the last two games has been felt.
The former West Virginia product is also a solid on-ball defender, another aspect of his game the Knicks have surely missed amid their two-game skid.
Hopefully, whatever personal issues McBride was dealing with are settled, and he makes his return when the Knicks take on the Bulls in Chicago on Friday.
