Game 3 of the World Series was less a baseball game than a Greek tragedy. And like any great tragedy, it gave audiences plenty of time to absorb its cast of characters.

The Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays endured one of the longest contests in postseason history, locking horns for nearly six hours before the match came to a merciful conclusion.

Fireworks abound atop the Dodger Stadium grass. There were long-balls —  courtesy of Alejandro Kirk, Teoscar Hernandez and most notably, Shohei Ohtani. There were web gems — Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Tommy Edman, Isiah Kiner-Falefa and Will Smith all made critical interventions with their gloves.

Freddie Freeman’s walk-off home run settled things in the 18th inning, spelling an end to the second-longest game in Fall Classic history. Less than 24 hours later, the two sides will return to action once more. The game’s biggest draw, Ohtani, is set to take the mound. He’ll face off with quite the adversary in Shane Bieber, who will take the ball for Toronto.
