The Miami Dolphins, after one of the worst weeks in recent franchise history in Week 7 against the Cleveland Browns, turned things around in a major way with a dominant win over the Atlanta Falcons.
Tua Tagovailoa had an incredible game, leading the Dolphins to a resounding 34-10 win over a Falcons team down their starting quarterback and number one wide receiver.
After the blowout loss, Falcons head coach Raheem Morris, according to Dolphins journalist for the Palm Beach Post Joe Schad, shared a simple but brutal three-word admission on the Dolphins blowing out the Falcons in Week 8.

Miami’s Week 8 win wasn’t just a huge one in the moment; it’s their best game they’ve played all year, and it’s not particularly close.
It’s their second win of the season, and it’s the first time they’ve won a game by more than one possession. And it wasn’t a 10-point difference either; it was a 34-10 blowout, with 24 points making the difference between the two teams.

The Falcons made it 7-3 in the second quarter, but after a Dolphins field goal to make it 10-3, Miami never looked back. The Dolphins scored a touchdown at the end of the half ot make it 17-3, before tacking on 10 more points to make it 34-3 with a little under nine minutes to go in the game.
Kirk Cousins led a meaningless touchdown drive late in the game to make it 34-10, but by then, the game was well out of reach.
As Morris put it, the Dolphins “smashed” the Falcons in Week 8. After weeks of press conference quotes and drama surrounding the Dolphins, this blowout win over the Falcons was huge for momentum and the vibes within the organization for the Dolphins.
While a trade deadline sell-off is within the cards, the turnaround is a positive step for the Dolphins, even if it only lasts a week. Miami had a great game in every phase, and “smashed” the Falcons in the process.
