The Buffalo Bills‘ defense has been a major disappointment this season and injuries are only making things worse.

Ahead of the Nov. 4 trade deadline, general manager Brandon Beane should be looking to add at cornerback, safety, linebacker and defensive line, which will amount to a daunting task, to say the least.

The Bills have dealt with plenty of injuries at safety, linebacker and defensive line, and the cornerback spot is a concern thanks to the awful play from Tre’Davious White and the uncertainty of what rookie Maxwell Hairston can provide.

One way the Bills could address their need at linebacker is a trade for Cincinnati Bengals defender Logan Wilson, who was predicted to land with Buffalo by The Sporting News’ Vinnie Iyer:

“Wilson wants out of Cincinnati with all the new defensive dysfunction. He would be a valuable addition to the Buffalo defense given some ineffectiveness vs. the run and in coverage, plus durability issues for starters Matt Milano and Terrell Bernard,” he wrote.

As Iyer points out, Wilson has requested a trade from the Bengals after seeing his role diminish in recent weeks. Wilson went from being a full-time starter since 2021 to seeing just 58 snaps the last three games.

“I felt like I was,” Wilson said when asked if he thinks he’s playing well enough to keep his starting job. “But obviously [Bengals coach] Zac [Taylor] felt otherwise.”
