As Shohei Ohtani ran from first to second base, he pulled up just a tad.

Mookie Betts had just singled in the bottom of the 11th, and Ohtani was heading down to second base after being intentionally walked. The Los Angeles Dodgers‘ two-way superstar made a bit of a face and held up a tad.

After the play was over, a trainer and manager Dave Roberts came out to check on Ohtani. It appeared he may have pulled something.

In the end, Ohtani stayed in the game.

There’s bigger reason for concern than just the fact that Ohtani could be slightly hampered for the rest of Game 3.

Ohtani is also scheduled to be the Game 4 starting pitcher.

Game 4 is on Tuesday night, with the time dwindling with every extra inning pitch until that next game comes along.

Ohtani is resilient and an unfathomable athlete, so he very well might be OK.

But it’s not what the Dodgers wanted to see at all. Even a little Ohtani grimace isn’t the best sign.
