The Bulldogs enter the matchup following a 45-38 loss to Western Carolina, while the Paladins look to rebound after back-to-back defeats to Western Carolina (52-7) and Wofford (31-13).
Both teams are 2-2 in conference play, making this an important Week 9 contest in the SoCon standings. Furman, in particular, will be disappointed by its recent losses after starting the campaign with four wins in its first five games.
However, The Citadel will be eager for revenge after last year’s controversial matchup, which ended in a 17-16 defeat after a potential game-winning touchdown was overturned in the final moments.
