AJ Dybantsa will lead No. 8 BYU into an exhibition contest against No. 25 North Carolina on Friday night.

It’s the second exhibition game for the Cougars, who have earned their highest preseason ranking in program history. Dybantsa, a five-star recruit and the potential No. 1 overall pick in next year’s NBA Draft, scored a team-high 30 points in BYU’s first exhibition game, a one-point loss to Nebraska.

The Tar Heels are set for Year 5 under head coach Hubert Davis, who has steered the program to three NCAA Tournament appearances in four years. UNC will have one more exhibition game against Winston-Salem State on Wednesday before opening the season against Central Arkansas on Nov. 3.
