The Pittsburgh Steelers let go of one quarterback on Tuesday.
It likely signals a return of another QB sooner rather than later.
The roster move made Tuesday was this: Logan Woodside has been waived, according to ESPN’s Brooke Pryor.
Pryor adds that it likely means either Will Howard or Skylar Thompson will soon be activated from Injured Reserve.
Woodside is a 30-year old QB who has never made an NFL start.
He has attempted seven passes in the NFL, completing four, for 34 yards.
He also has 14 career runs for 10 yards, with some kneel downs as part of that.

Woodside has appeared in 13 games total, in 2020 and 2021 with the Titans and in 2022 and 2023 with the Falcons.
He was serving as the Steelers’ No. 3 QB with both Howard and Thompson out.
Aaron Rodgers is the starter, of course, and his backup is Mason Rudolph.
Pittsburgh wouldn’t want to go through a week with just two healthy quarterbacks, so it’s safe to expect an IR activation soon. Howard is the rookie out of Ohio State, while Thompson is the well-traveled veteran who most recently has started for the Miami Dolphins in 2024.
Meanwhile, Woodside will just seek out another practice squad opportunity to continue sticking around on the fringes of the NFL.
