Vanderbilt football suffered its first loss of the 2025 season this afternoon in Tuscaloosa, as No. 10 Alabama defeated the No. 16 Commodores, 30-14. After the game, Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia was involved in a brief back-and-forth with a Crimson Tide fan.
As Pavia walked off the field following Vanderbilt’s loss, a fan began yelling at him, and Pavia responded.

The Alabama fan said to Pavia “you’re trash” during the interaction, with a Vanderbilt staffer saying to the fan “you’re talking to kids.”
Pavia did not mince words about Alabama going into Saturday, saying “if we play our game, it won’t be close.” In warmups, he was spotted taking a knee, almost like he was practicing victory formation.
Alabama players rushed to Pavia after the game to say some words.
