According to ON3’s Brett McMurphy, the College Football Playoff has revealed its championship locations through the 2029 season, paving the way for four prominent title games in some of the most exciting football cities in the country.
We already know that the upcoming national championship is set for January 19, 2026, at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. Miami has become a well-known venue for college football’s grandest events, having also hosted the 2021 title game between Alabama and Ohio State.

Next, the playoff heads west. In 2027, Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada. The dazzling home of the Las Vegas Raiders will host its inaugural College Football Playoff National Championship on January 25, 2027.
The following year, the championship returns to one of college football’s most storied locations. The Caesars Superdome in New Orleans will be the site of the 2028 championship game on January 24, 2028, contributing to a rich legacy of national title games and Sugar Bowl classics.
The rotation then moves to the Gulf Coast in 2029, when Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, will host the championship on January 22, 2029. Tampa last held the event in 2017, when Clemson triumphed over Alabama in a nail-biter.
Finally, the CFP will return to Hard Rock Stadium in 2030, marking Miami’s second title game in just five years.
While the playoff format leading to the championship game is still to be determined, we do know where the next five college football champions will be crowned: Miami, Las Vegas, New Orleans, Tampa, and once again, Miami.
