New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers injured his knee during the second quarter against the Los Angeles Chargers when the Giants had a 10-3 lead. He had to be carted off the field.
There are already reports out there that Nabers has a torn ACL. This is not good news for this franchise. He has a star wide receiver who is only in his second NFL season. It is not the first time that there have been major injuries on the MetLife Stadium turf.
New York Giants Fans Want MetLife Stadium Turf Removed After the Malik Nabers Knee Injury
It is not a secret that turf causes more injuries than grass. In the past, there have been major injuries on that field. Giants’ fans expressed their frustration on social media.
We NEED the ownership to change the MetLife turf.
Many players have gotten injured and now Malik Nabers and Joe Alt are the latest victim to the horrendous turf.
We can’t let players keep getting hurt from this. pic.twitter.com/bTZa2W3nWV

MetLife Stadium turf. An absolute disgrace that the Giants/Jet/League do nothing about it. How many dudes need no-contact injuries before they do something?

MetLife turf needs to be banned.

There are going to be major discussions about what needs to happen with this turf moving forward. In the 2026 World Cup, soccer players will be playing on natural grass. It is time for MetLife Stadium to have the NFL players play on grass and it is time for a majority of stadiums to have it.
With Nabers being out for the season, the Giants will lack playmakers on the outside. Wan’Dale Robinson, Jalin Hyatt, and Darius Slayton will be the primary receivers for New York in his absence. Theo Johnson will be someone to keep an eye on moving forward. There will be discussions on talks shows throughout the week about the turf at this stadium.
