The Los Angeles Rams are in danger of not having one of their key offensive players for the Week 4 game against the Indianapolis Colts, as the status of wide receiver Davante Adams is up in the air.
Adam had been on the injury report in each of the past two weeks, but that was only for rest purposes.
This week, Adams was listed with a hamstring injury and did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday before turning in a limited session on Friday.
Adams is Los Angeles’ No. 2 receiver behind Puka Nacua, so his absence would be a tough blow for the Rams. However, there is optimism he’s going to play.
Here’s what we know.
Is Davante Adams playing today?
Despite the questionable tag, Adams is expected to play in Week 4 against the Colts, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Saturday night.
Just make sure to check inactives an hour and a half before the Rams’ 1:05 p.m. PT kickoff to confirm Adams’ status, as we already saw a report about Jaylen Warren’s status be wrong on Sunday morning.
Davante Adams start or sit advice
Adams has already situated himself just fine with Matthew Stafford and even though he an elite fantasy wide receiver playing next to him, Adams ranks as WR13 overall through three games, making him a strong WR2 option every week.
The Colts have actually been very stingy when it comes to allowing fantasy points to wide receivers, with Indy giving up the ninth-fewest in the NFL.
However, Adams has been too productive for Indy’s defense to scare us away. We also believe that unit has been playing above its head a bit early on this season, so regression could be coming.
