The Golden State Warriors are rumored to sign Al Horford, De’Anthony Melton, Gary Payton II, and Seth Curry once the Jonathan Kuminga saga blows over.

After that, they still have a couple of roster spots to fill out.

One familiar face that the Dubs could pursue is a one-time champion, and Blue Man Hoop’s Josh Cornelissen believes he would fit in perfectly.

“Filling the Andrew Wiggins role years beforehand, Harrison Barnes had his down moments with the Warriors but also played a key role in their explosion into a dynasty,” Cornelissen said Wednesday.

“His shooting ability would make him an excellent fit next to Butler and Green in switchable small lineups, and he has always been versatile defending frontcourt players. The return of the death lineup could be at hand.”

Harrison Barnes played with the Warriors from 2012 to 2016, winning a championship in 2015.

During his tenure with the team, he averaged 10.1 points per game, paving the way for the rest of his career.

Barnes is by no means a superstar, but a guy who can contribute on both sides of the ball, something the Warriors desperately need.

His time with the Dallas Mavericks is when he established himself as an elite role player, averaging 18.7 points per game in a three-year span.

Besides Draymond Green, the Warriors don’t have much forward play.

It is painfully obvious Kuminga wants nothing to do with Golden State, and if that’s the case, they should bring in one of their key contributors to the 2015 championship team.
