The heat is coming back to Southern California — Mira Costa is set to host Redondo Union in a high school volleyball clash Thursday. 

Going 11-7 so far this season, Mira Costa has struggled with keeping on track. Despite nearly making the CIF D1 title game last year, the Mustangs have already dropped losses to Marymount, Mater Dei, Harrisburg and Redondo Union.

Meanwhile, Redondo Union has sailed through this season. The Sea Hawks have pulled off major wins over many of the same programs that’ve stumped Mira Costa, like Mater Dei and Marymount. Redondo Union is surely looking to return to its dominant ways of past decades.

The high school volleyball match between Mira Costa and Redondo Union will not air on a national TV channel. It can instead be streamed live on the NFHS Network.
