Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews had to deal with his drop on what would have been the game-tying two-point conversion in the playoff loss to the Buffalo Bills all offseason, and then, to begin the 2025 season, he was a non-factor.
Through the first two weeks, Andrews would post a combined two receptions for seven yards, as many thought the veteran tight end was coming to the end of his illustrious career or maybe that the Ravens had lost confidence in him.
But against the Detroit Lions, Andrews turned back the clock and reminded everyone that he still has juice in the tank, totaling six receptions for 91 yards and two touchdowns.
Andrews managed a 19-yard reception on the first offensive play of the game, along with having another 19-yard reception, plus touchdown grabs of 14 yards and 27 yards to prove he can still be “that” guy for Lamar Jackson and the offense.

Andrews puts playoff drop behind him
While in the grand scheme of things, nothing will completely put that playoff drop behind him, a game like this, after the start to the year he had, is good for the soul.
Just two receptions combined in two games, to then come out and perform in the manner he did, especially on the first drive to help set the tone, shows that the Pro Bowler can still be counted on in the passing game and that there is still confidence in him from the Baltimore coaching staff.
Yeah, Baltimore lost the game, but Andrews gaining confidence ahead of a crucial Week 4 clash against the Kansas City Chiefs means it wasn’t all bad on Monday night.
